| Despite a lot of
searching, I have not come across any military uniforms
from the 1820's through around the 1840's. I know Western Culture,
(the main focus of these costume pages) had standing armies during this time, and an unfortunate
fact is that there were (and are to this day) wars or battles going on all the time.
This is especially true of the 1800's. I do know that the main military conflicts in the
U.S. during the 1820's up until the time of the Mexican war in 1846, dealt with conflicts with Native Americans.
They had few, if any international conflicts that I am aware of. If anyone who might happen upon this webpage can point me in the direction of finding some good pictures of military uniforms of this time, please email me at azartist37a@yahoo.com  1832 US Infantry | |||||
