I am basically a "city boy" but on a couple of occasions I visited a few small towns in North Carolina.
I was amazed (and amused) at how some people live and the conditions of their houses and yards.
What I have pictured on this website is just a small sampling of some redneck yards I was able
to get pictures of during my visit.
Notice that if rednecks don't have a rusted-out truck in the yard, they
always have enough money for a nice new one. Nevermind the fact that the house is falling apart.
The dog's thinking "somebody just shoot me".
Apparently they haven't taught their kids to pick
up after themselves.
Mommy, will you buy me more crap for the front yard?
Another example of a nice new truck.
Paint job for the house? Screw that, we need to
buy the kids more toys for the yard.

No room inside for your stuff? No problem, just pile it
around the porch.
Better yet, just cram it all in the shed.
Who needs a bathroom or a laundry room when ya got the
great outdoors?
Here's an example of the use of an outdoor toilet, found on the internet.
"I cain't come in to work today boss, this beer's givin' me the trots."
Redneck doghouse
(I got this one from the 'net but I knew someone with this exact setup).
The radio and television store. Oh, and they also sell
mattresses.
How ancient is that Zenith sign?
One from a previous visit.
And of course, rednecks like displaying their confederate flags. The following pictures are from
various places around North and South Carolina.
The first ones are flags seen at various residences.
